I started by taking measurements of the eight sided room and created a 3D computer model. Mostly based off the size of the mattress and the amount of storage needed, the bed lifted to gain access to the storage space underneath, and the front panels removable. The two sides were sized for sofa cushions, and the floor in front doubled as another seating arrangement. Using the model as my reference, I got the material, cut it to length, drilled it out, and with a little help from Amir and Shannon, screwed it together.
